Fortnite eDPI Calculator
Fortnite shows sensitivity as a percentage (1–100%). eDPI (DPI × sensitivity %) is the standard way Fortnite players compare setups.

How eDPI works in Fortnite
Fortnite's sensitivity is a percentage, which makes raw values hard to compare — is 10% fast? It depends entirely on your DPI. Multiplying the two gives eDPI:
Fortnite eDPI = Mouse DPI × Sensitivity % Keep X and Y axis sensitivities equal unless you deliberately play asymmetric.
Worked example
You play at 800 DPI with 10% sensitivity on both axes:
800 × 10 = 80 eDPI
80 eDPI is the classic medium band — fast enough for building and editing, controlled enough for tracking. At 1600 DPI the same feel is 5%.
Typical Fortnite eDPI ranges
- 40–60 — low; maximum aim stability, big swipes for building.
- 60–100 — the common competitive band.
- 100–150 — high; quick edits and 90s with less arm movement.
- 150+ — very high; rare, demands excellent control.
Common mistakes
- Comparing Fortnite eDPI to Valorant or CS2 eDPI. Fortnite's percentage scaling is unique — 80 eDPI here is not portable to other games.
- Forgetting ADS sensitivity is separate. This calculator covers your hipfire/look sensitivity; ADS and scoped multipliers are tuned independently.
FAQ
What is a good eDPI for Fortnite?
Most competitive players land between 60 and 100 eDPI. Fortnite rewards slightly faster aim than tactical shooters because of building and close-range edits.
Should my X and Y sensitivity match?
For most players, yes. Some pros run Y slightly lower to steady vertical recoil control, but start symmetric and only split them if you have a clear reason.
